Spanish digital ad spend up 24% to EUR 754 mln in H1

Spending on digital advertising in Spain came to EUR 754 million in the first six months of 2016, a 24.4 percent increase compared to the year-earlier period, according to a survey conducted by IAB Spain and PWC. Search-based advertising spend rose 10.8 percent year on year to EUR 345 million while display and video-based advertising increased by 20.6 percent to EUR 328 million in the January-June period. Mobile advertising saw the largest annual rise, climbing nearly 40 percent to EUR 45 million, while programmatic advertising increased 25.6 percent to nearly EUR 50 million.
