Spanish regulator proposes 45% cut to wholesale fees

Spain's communications and competition regulator CNMC has opened another public consultation on the prices the former incumbent Telefonica charges rival operators to access its network and is proposing a 45 percent cut to the fee charged per contracted capacity in each indirect access point. The proposal would involve cutting the monthly price per capacity to access Telefonica's copper and fibre network from EUR 14.56 (best effort), EUR 16.89 (gold) and EUR 19.07 (real time) to EUR 8.07, EUR 9.36 and EUR 10.57 respectively. Operators have 20 days to submit observations on this new public
