Speed increasingly important to EU internet users - survey

Speed is an increasingly important factor for consumers choosing an internet provider, according to a survey released by the European Commission. The survey of almost 28,000 consumers in the EU-27 in March found that 45 percent would upgrade their internet subscription or switch supplier for a higher speed service. Price still remains the most important factor in choosing an internet subscription, but speed is narrowing the gap, the EC said.
