SPIE receives applications for SPIE Startup Challenge

SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, said it started receiving applications from photonics entrepreneurs for its SPIE Startup Challenge until 16 November. Aspiring entrepreneurs may apply to pitch their light-based technology product ideas to a team of business development experts. Participants may win a share of more than USD 85,000 in cash and prizes in the SPIE Startup Challenge 2018. Organised by SPIE, the semifinal and final rounds of the competition are held during SPIE Photonics West at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, running 27 January through 1
