Sport1 launches pay TV channel eSports1

Sport1, a platform covering sports in the German language region, has announced that a new pay-TV channel called eSports1 will go on-air in Austria, Germany and Switzerland on 24 January 2019. It aims to strengthen the position of the provider as the home of eSports. Initially, distribution of the eSports1 channel will be provided by the platforms of Vodafone Deutschland, Telekom, Unitymedia, 1&1, T-Mobile Austria, A1 Telekom, UPC Switzerland and Zattoo. Besides these, the content will also be available via the proprietary eSports app.
