Spotify, Deezer ask EU to rein in US tech giants

A number of European tech companies including music streaming services Spotify and Deezer have sent a letter to EU regulators urging them to rein in what they consider anti-competitive practices from US rivals such as Apple and Amazon, reports the Financial Times. The letter signed by Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek and Deezer chief executive Hans-Holger Albrecht as well as a number of European game developers and digital publishers calls on Brussels to maintain "a level playing field" by constraining platforms that are "regularly abusing their advantaged position".
