Music labels sue Charter over fueling music piracy
Top music labels opened a suit against Charter Communications in which they accuse the US cable internet provider of profiting from music piracy by failing to close the accounts of subscribers who illegally download copyrighted songs, writes online publication arstechnica.com. Charter is also accused of helping its subscribers pirate music by selling packages with higher internet speeds. The complaint was filed in US District Court in Colorado by Sony, Universal, Warner, and their various subsidiaries on 22
