Spotify ready to roll out video service this week - report

Spotify will begin rolling out its video-streaming service for Android users later this week, reports the Wall Street Journal, citing the company's vice president of product Shiva Rajaraman. The service will be launched in the US, UK, Germany, and Sweden before expanding to other markets and iPhone users. Digital content providers available at launch include the BBC, Comedy Central, ESPN, MTV and Vice News, said the report, which adds that the content will mostly consist of short clips and music-themed series. Confirmation of the launch comes around six months after Spotify first announced
