Music streaming service Spotify is set to expand its video offering with 12 original TV series, reports Bloomberg. The plans for its first series of original shows will be unveiled on Monday 16 May, one year after adding clips from Comedy Central and the BBC. Episodes will be available to paid and free Spotify users in the US, UK, Sweden and Germany. Spotify's content partnerships chief, Tom Calderone, told Bloomberg in an interview that its customers wanted more from the company and that it wanted to show users they can come to the platform for more than just playlists.
