Spotify unveils 'video takeover' ad product for free users

Spotify has launched two new ad products that will be seen around the world by the music streaming company's 30 million-plus non-paying user base. The first service, dubbed Video Takeover, is initially available only on the desktop version of Spotify and offers brands the opportunity to "own the ad break" with sponsored 15 or 30-second video takeover ads. The videos are served as part of normal ad breaks and can only be seen if the desktop client is in view. The second video ad product, dubbed Sponsored Sessions, lets mobile users view a brief video clip in exchange for 30 minutes of ad-free
