Sprint hits 300 Mbps with three-channel carrier aggregation

Sprint announced that it achieved speeds of over 300 Mbps using the Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone and three-channel carrier aggregation at its lab in Reston, Virginia. The operator is evaluating the overall performance, speed and reliability of three-channel carrier aggregation and expects to test new devices as they become available. Sprint currently uses 40 MHz of spectrum on select 2.5 GHz cell sites for two-channel aggregation, which will rise to 60 MHz of spectrum with three-channel carrier aggregation.
