Sprint in talks to acquire FreedomPop - report

Sprint is in talks to acquire the MVNO FreedomPop, two people familiar with the matter told USA Today. The talks are fluid, meaning they could lead to an investment, an acquisition or no deal between the companies, the report said. Other suitors have emerged for FreedomPop, among them a large US technology company and a smaller mobile operator, according to the paper. An acquisition would likely value FreedomPop at between USD 250 million and USD 450 million, while an investment would value it closer to USD 200 million. A Sprint spokesman declined comment, as did a FreedomPop
