Sprint insists it will not use equipment from Huawei

Sprint Nextel has indicated that it will not use network equipment from Huawei in the wake of a US Congress report expressing security concerns about the Chinese company , reports the Financial Times. The proposed takeover of Sprint by Japanese company Softbank required approval from regulators and the US Committee on Foreign Investment. When asked about Huawei, Softbank CEO Masayoshi Son said he was aware of the sensitivity of the vendor issues and would respect these.
