Sprint loses more customers, mobile service revenue falls 3% in Q1

Sprint reported a loss of contract phone customers as well as lower service revenue and profits for its fiscal first quarter. The operator said the results were better than expected, but it still faces "structural headwinds" that make its planned merger with T-Mobile necessary to improve results.
