Sri Lanka Telecom's 9-month profit jumps nearly 24%

Sri Lanka Telecom saw its group net profit after tax grow 23.4 percent year-on-year to LKR 3.99 billion for the nine months ended 30 September 2018. The Group comprises holding company Sri Lanka Telecom and its eight subsidiaries including mobile arm Mobitel. The Group posted revenue of LKR 60.1 bullion, which represents an increase of 6.6 percent year-on-year. EBITDA for the nine months to 30 September 2018 amounted to LKR 18.7 billion, up 15.8 percent year-on-year, with EBITDA margin at 31.1 percent.
