Sri Lanka to offer internet access via Google's balloon tech

Google will provide internet access across Sri Lanka using balloons. Sri Lanka thus hopes to become the first country in the region with complete internet coverage, The Star reports, citing Sri Lanka's Minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera. Sri Lanka officials have signed an agreement with Google to launch the helium-filled, high-tech balloons above the Indian Ocean island in coming months, Samaraweera said.
