St Gallen starts smart city pilot project

The local utilities provider in St Gallen wants to transform the city into a smart city based on the city's fibre network and an innovative, low-power wireless network. The organisers plan to make St Gallen a smart city with a comprehensive e-government strategy, high efficiency, open communication and modern, technology-based services. The pilot project runs until November, after which the city parliament will decide on a further expansion.
