Stadtwerke Konstanz starts fibre network deployment

Local utilities provider Stadtwerke Konstanz has started to deploy a fibre network to the industrial area Unterloh in Konstanz. The network will be completed before the end of this year and Stadtwerke Konstanz will also act as service provider offering broadband, TV and telephony services to the businesses in the area. If the pilot is succesfull, Stadtwerke Konstanz plans to expand the fibre network to the whole city within the next 8-12 years with an estimated cost of EUR 58 million.
