STMicroelectronics passes 1 bln ST33 chips sold

STMicroelectronics said it recorded cumulative sales of over 1 billion units for its ST33 embedded-security ICs. The company said that the popularity of its ST33 family reflects the growing imperative to protect data and systems in secure mobile-consumer, smart-driving, smart-industry and smart-cities applications.
