Strato takeover approved by German cartel watchdog

The EUR 600 million takeover of Strato by United Internet has been approved by the German Federal Cartel Office. On 15 December, United Internet announced it had bought hosting services provider Strato from Deutsche Telekom for EUR 600 million, pending approval from the German authorities. Under the approval now granted, United Internet is able to close the deal in the first quarter of 2017. Strato will be consolidated into United Internet accounts from 01 April 2017.
