Strong German security attracts US data centres

US IT providers are increasingly announcing the location of their own data centres in Germany, or they collaborate with local providers because of the strong data protection in Germany, according to teltarif.de. Oracle recently announced the opening of two data centres in Frankfurt and Munich, cloud infrastructure specialist VMware wants to open one in 2015 and Deutsche Telekom has been appointed to operate the European part of Cisco's cloud platform.
