Sunrise Communications has signed an agreement to acquire NextiraOne Switzerland, which will come into binding effect at end-October. Following the integration of NextiraOne Switzerland, Sunrise will be the privately-owned service provider of communications services for business customers in Switzerland. Through the merger, Sunrise will see an increase in its workforce of over 10 percent, from the current 1,600 to under 1,800. The existing Sunrise locations in Zurich-Oerlikon, Renens, Bern and Biel/Bienne will be extended by the five NextiraOne centres in Zurich-Kloten, Bern, Basel, Geneva and Lugano.
