SVOD-only homes growing fast, led by US and Denmark

The proportion of TV-viewing households in all markets that rely on subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services alone to access TV is growing fast, according to a report from Ampere Analysis. The largest SVOD-only markets are the US (10.4 percent) and Denmark (10 percent), with Germany (up 6.1 percentage points), Denmark (up 3.6 percentage points) and the US (up 4.1 percentage points) currently the fastest growing. The smallest are France (1.8 percent) and the UK (3 percent), which also posted the slowest growth of 1.4 and 0.8 percentage points over the past 12 months, said the report.
