SVOD's effect on pay TV companies is exaggerated - Deloitte

The impact of SVOD services such as Netflix on established pay TV broadcasters has been exaggerated according to new research from Deloitte, which forecasts that the SVOD market will reach around GBP 5 billion globally this year, or about 3 percent of the GBP 168 billion pay TV market. If advertising and revenues such as licence fees are included, SVOD accounts for only 1 percent of the TV market.
