Sweden may use 700 MHz spectrum for emergency services

Swedish postal and telecoms regulator PTS said it has submitted a report to the government concerning emergency service requirements for mobile broadband communications, based on an analysis by the Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), and on which frequency bands could be used. PTS said there are number of ways of meeting their needs and several potential frequencies. Among other things, PTS has delayed allocation frequencies in the 700 MHz band in order to find a solution for emergency services.
