Swedes less aware of security on mobile devices

The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) said people in Sweden are less aware of the security risks when using smartphones and tablets than when using computers. This was revealed by a survey carried out by PTS together with Sweco. Nearly one third of respondents does not use an anti-virus program on their mobile device, whereas the same number is as low as 6 percent for computer users. Just under one fifth of respondents has updated their anti-virus program for their mobile phone or tablet in the past six months, but seven of ten computer users have.
