Swedish Data Protection Authority changes name to IMY in 2021

The Swedish Data Protection Authority (Datainspektionen) said that following a parliamentary decision, it will change its name on 01 January 2021 to the Integrity Protection Authority (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten) and will use the abbreviation IMY. The new name reflects changes at the inspectorate since the introduction of GDPR in 2018 but IMY will have the same fundamental remit as the Data Protection Authority.
