Swedish PTS publishes study on 450 MHz band use

Swedish regulator PTS sad it has carried out a study on suitable use in the future of the 450 MHz band. Interested parties have until 19 June to comment. It found that those functions using the 450-470 MHz band, such as private mobile radio, maritime radio and a block permit currently used by Net1 for mobile telephony and broadband services with good surface coverage, should be given room to expand. PTS proposes the same amount of frequency should be retained for the block permit, namely 2 x 5 MHz, in line with international standards. Access Industries' AINMT Holding unit Net1 has the block
