Swedish regulator delays allocating local 5G permits until 2021

Swedish communications regulator PTS said it will not be allocating any local permits for use of 5G frequencies this year but expects to publish a proposal in the first quarter of 2021. Its consultations have found demand for applications such as manufacturing industry and medical treatment. Upon closer examination, the earlier proposal to make spectrum available only to property owners has been shown to be rather inappropriate.
