Swiss banks want to test Apple Pay

Tuesday 23 September 2014 | 17:09 CET | News
Swiss banks want Switzerland to become the tester of Apple's new payment service, Apple Pay, newspaper Schweiz am Sonntag reported, citing the marketing director of the main credit card issuer Viseca/Aduno, Roland Zwyssig. Switzerland has one of the highest numbers of terminals required for the mobile pay service. Swisscom launched its mobile payment service Tapit this year. The launch was unsuccessful, because the service was not working for many customers. According to Zwyssig, a cooperation with Apple would bring difficulties for Tapit.
