Swiss broadcasters seek changes to time-shift TV in copyright law reform

As part of the revision of the copyright law, the Swiss National Council will again discuss the issue of time-shifted TV, reports CEToday.ch. Broadcasters want to force TV providers to show commercials and pay higher compensation for advertising skipped by viewers using time-shift systems. This could have far-reaching consequences for consumers and smaller TV streaming services.
