Swiss cantons may exceed their competences when imposing 5G moratoria

Swiss regulator Bakom shares the view of the CEO of Swisscom Urs Schaeppi that the 5G moratoria introduced by some cantons clash with federal law, reports Inside-IT.ch. Various cantons are using moratoria to challenge the new 5G mobile communications standard. It turns out, however, that they are exceeding their competences. It is the federal government that is responsible for protecting people from harmful radiation.
