Swiss Council of States rejects relaxation of base station limits

The Swiss Council of States has rejected a proposal to relax radiation protection. The increasing data demand requires network upgrades and the current Swiss regulation on non-ionising radiation protection (NISV) is rather strict, so the government had proposed to relax it. The Parliamentary Commission for Telecommunications recommended a review of the the NISV regulation, too.
