Swiss Federal Council lowers lowers broadcast licence fee from 2021

The Swiss Federal Council has decided to reduce the licence fee for radio and television from CHF 365 to CHF 335 for all households starting in 2021. The fee was already reduced from CHF 451 to CHF 365 in 2019. The fee for collective households, which include retirement and nursing homes and student accommodations, is now CHF 670 instead of CHF 730. Persons who receive supplementary benefits AHV/IV are still exempt from paying the fee.
