Swiss fibre alliance SFN pushes for Swisscom to cooperate in FTTH network development

Swiss fibre alliance SFN plans a massive development of FTTH networks across the whole country, the alliance's CEO Andreas Waber told Handelszeitung. The alliance sees great potential in the development of fibre networks, contradicting the usual presentation by market leader Swisscom. Under the Telecom Act (FMG), which will be discussed in the Council of States next week, the SFN calls for Swisscom to be brought back to cooperation via regulation of wholesale access to its networks.
