Swiss smartphone users use WhatsApp for messaging

Despite dubious data security and its takeover by Facebook, WhatsApp remains the most popular messenger service in Switzerland, according to a survey by comparison website comparis.ch. A total of 91 percent of messenger users communicate via WhatsApp, with only 10 percent considering swapping to an alternative messaging service. The survey shows that 3 in 4 smartphone owners in Switzerland have a messenger app, with 91 out of 100 using WhatsApp. Only 5 percent of Swiss smartphone users refuse to install WhatsApp on their phone.
