Swisscom expands gigabit mobile broadband services

Swisscom is expanding its gigabit mobile network with the top speed now available in 11 cities and 15 Swisscom shops. The operator's LTE coverage reaches 99 percent and LTE+ at up to 300 Mbps 80 percent of population. Swisscom's goal is enable 30 percent of the Swiss population to benefit from gigabit speeds by the end of 2018. This speed can already be used with selected smartphones from various manufacturers.
