Swisscom eyeing revenue from Big Data

Swisscom is looking to earn revenue from Big Data in the future, inside-it.ch reports. Speaking at a media event in Zurich, Iris Kornacker, Head of Market Initiatives, said that Big Data presented an 8-figure market opportunity for the company. However, she added that Swisscom's move into this market was still in its infancy, with the company investing heavily. A pilot project has been operating over the last few months in Pully to measure traffic using anonymised mobile data.
