Swisscom responds to Telecoms Act decision

Swisscom has responded to the Federal Council approving a proposal on the revision of the Telecommunications Act. Swisscom said that the Council acknowledged the successful expansion of Switzerland's infrastructure and sees no urgent need for action regarding network access regulation. The company said that it would assess the Federal Council's proposal on the partial revision of the Telecommunications Act and present its full opinion by end-March 2016. However, it added that Swisscom has a highly modern ICT infrastructure thanks to forward-looking legislation that promotes investment,
