Swisscom's electronic health record Evita reduces hospitalisation rate of COPD patients

A study completed in five hospitals in Switzerland has shown that the use of telemedicine when caring for lung disease patients reduces their hospitalisation rate by a quarter and the costs of treating their disease by 44 percent. The electronic health record Evita from Swisscom makes this possible.
