Symantec starts restructuring plan as quarterly sales grow 8%

Symantec reported better-than-expected results for its fiscal first quarter to June. Revenues rose 8 percent to USD 1.247 billion, ahead of its guidance, and the adjusted operating margin was up 2 percent points to 30 percent. EPS rose 23 percent year-on-year to USD 0.43, and operating cash flow totaled USD 325 million.
