Symantec to lay off 8% of workforce

Symantec will reduce its global workforce by 8 percent to boost profit margins after closing fewer deals than expected so far in 2018, CFO Nick Noviello announced in a conference call on quarterly reports. Noviello expects that these actions will partially benefit fiscal year 2019 operating margins and will have full effect in fiscal year 2020, reports ITproportal.com.
