Syn lifts Q4 revenue 34% after 365 purchase but economic conditions hit profits

Vodafone Iceland parent company Syn said revenue in the fourth quarter of 2018 rose by 34 percent but profits fell amid tough economic conditions, including a weak krona and competition. Syn also operates the online newspaper Visir.is, television and radio stations including Stod 2, Stod 2 Sport, Bylgjan, FM 957, and in December 2017, it bought certain 365 Midlar assets.
