T-Mobile Austria outlines plans to scale up network investment

T-Mobile Austria said its data traffic increased by 100 percent this year, after growth of 140 percent in 2016. In response to the growing data consumption, the company is heavily investing in its networks, according to Rudiger Koster, CTO at Deutsche Telekom. The investments in Austria amounted to EUR 155 million this year and are planned to increase to EUR 170 million in 2018. The concern has been steadily working on increasing the network capacity through upgrades.
