T-Mobile Austria says spectrum refarming will take time

Friday 1 August 2014 | 11:15 CET | News
T-Mobile Austria welcomed the decision by regulator RTR to allow the transfer of existing usage rights for the GSM frequencies 900 MHz and 1800 MHz for 3G and 4G usage, too. T-Mobile said refarming frequency blocks among the operators to ensure more efficient use will take some time, as agreements need to be reached, and there are technical challenges. T-Mobile Austria said that the liberalisation does not affect its complaint with the Administrative Court (VwGH) against last autumn's LTE auction allocation.
