T-Mobile CEO calls spectrum auction 'disaster' for consumers

T-Mobile US CEO John Legere has called the recent spectrum auction in the US a "disaster" for consumers, after market leaders AT&T and Verizon came away with the largest share of airwaves. He also criticised the FCC's rules for the auction, which "actually allowed companies that don't provide wireless service at all to buy up huge amounts of spectrum and sit on it for ten years". This follows pay-TV provider Dish Network acquiring frequency rights in the auction for USD 13.3 billion.
