T-Mobile expects job cuts, AK higher prices after auction

T-Mobile Austria reiterates it is not happy about the very high yield of EUR 2.014 billion from the Austrian multi-band spectrum auction on 21 October, reports Austrian news agency APA citing T-Mobile Austria CEO Andreas Bierwirth. He expects that the operators will need to launch new cost cutting programs to cover the high licence costs that could lead to job cuts. He also expects the price war that has been ongoing in the Austrian market will come to an end due to the high licence fees leading to high consumer prices.
