T-Mobile favours better quality 4G over quick roll-out

KPN and Vodafone are not offering 4G as it was originally intended, according to T-Mobile at a meeting on its network upgrade plans. T-Mobile is working on a complete upgrade of its network and antennas, with entirely new equipment. As a result, it expects to be able to offer nationwide coverage at true 4G speeds. KPN and Vodafone chose to roll out nationwide coverage quickly, rather than ensure sufficient speeds and capacity on the 4G network, T-Mobile said. Only in areas with a dense coverage, such as large cities, can the two operators offer LTE Advanced at full speeds. T-Mobile's network
