T-Mobile Netherlands Q1 sales weak, still grows in postpaid

T-Mobile Netherlands reported first-quarter sales down 6.4 percent to EUR 324 million, hurt by price pressure and fewer customers. EBITDA fell 34 percent to EUR 88 million following investments in sales & marketing, innovation and a reorganisation. Capex reached EUR 54 million or 17 percent of revenue, on spending to upgrade to LTE-Advanced, which now covers 80 percent of 4G base stations. The operator added 25,000 postpaid customers in the quarter, the fourth consecutive quarter of growth, for a total of 2.83 million. Prepaid users fell by 34,000 to 843,000. Postpaid ARPU continued lower,
