T-Mobile Netherlands says no plans for handset leasing

T-Mobile Netherlands is not planning to introduce handset leading with its new subscription plans, the company told Telecompaper. Customers want to own their own handset, and recent research with T-Mobile customers found that they are not interested in handset leasing, T-Mobile spokesman Eric Dekker said. As a result the operator will continue the same policy on handset pricing with its new plans launching later this month. Rival KPN was the first to introduce handset leasing last year, with its subsidiaries Hi and Telfort. Customers pay an additional fee each month, in addition to the
